How might we prepare Chinese STEM students to competitively enter the job market using design thinking?
With an overwhelming number of Chinese STEM students receiving degrees from US universities, there exists a perfect opportunity to develop a curriculum that can prepare them with soft skills needed to land a job.
Increase the conversion rate of international students gaining employment.
Our first initiative will be preparing Chinese STEM students to be competitive job candidates both in the United States and abroad. We will achieve this through a curriculum based on design thinking principles that teach student the soft skills needed to land a job.
In doing this the students will learn new skills, tools and the mindset to work as design thinkers. Students will receive certificates of course completion to aid their resumes. Most importantly, they can bring theses skills to job interviews, internships, and on-the-job work.
June Wang SEED is in partnership with Business model innovation and strategy design can be managed and structured as a set of processes, and used to leverage the creative potential of the core team of a organization. Our systematic, evidence-based methodology is designed to help non-profits, corporate organizations and management teams successfully develop and implement new business models in order to ensure a solid performance in the near term while creating future proof strategies for the mid and long term.
We will use the same design thinking based approach that we use for business model innovation to develop a strategic curriculum that truly serves our goal of creating a competitive cohort of job seeking student.
